Nathaniel Clyne has broken out on the big stage in the premier league as a brilliantly aggressive right back who is equally good at defending. His potential and recent performances have attracted the interest of quite a few top clubs, leading the race for his signature is manchester united and they have a reputation for getting the player they always want and what it makes it even more likely is that he is an english player.
Manchester united current right back options are limited with Rafael da silva not favoured by the coach because of his rashness and antonio valencia a winger changed to a right back, this is a position that united need to strengthen in order to achieve their objective of silverware next season.
There is no reason why this transfer should not take place if manchester united want it to, as the player himself has stated he would like champions league football which manchester united can provide and southampton can't. Clyne would cost from somewhere around 20-25 million pounds which should not be much to ask for from manchester united.
